Mindful Zen Drawing & Tea Ceremony

During this workshop, you will explore Mindful Zen Drawing: a joyful, meditative practice that invites you to slow down and truly see the world around you. Rather than simply looking, you will learn to observe with fresh, innocent eyes.

You will be using your 5 senses intensely again! We are going to experience this in a  relaxed way, without achievement but with focus and we will see, smell, touch, feel and even taste again in a new, fresh way! We will draw different subjects suggested by Marina, and there are abundantly available subjects that you can choose from in the beautiful botanical garden.

Experienced artist instructor Marina Derijke will tell you everything about mindful zen drawing and the way to practice it. She is there to assist and help you out in any way. Observing, connecting, sensing, drawing. Not looking, but seeing, really seeing. As you draw, your awareness deepens, and this makes you arrive fully in the present moment!

During the break, we will be sharing a tea ceremony, creating a special moment.

Mindful drawing is active meditation. You are not withdrawing from the world, but instead becoming fully present with it. Come and experience this powerful practice! No experience needed, just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to experience a new way of drawing.
